I have lived in at-least a small handful of towns with parades and this custom makes you all entirely unique. I have enjoyed listening to both sides of the debate about the validity of using the lawn chairs to save spots and while I see both sides, I am here today to say that I sit firmly on team ‘go ahead and do whatever you want’. Take up that space. Put an inflatable couch down. Layer on an inordinate amount of chains and rope around your chairs to double down in your steadfastness to own that spot and relish in its glory on the proverbial game day. This country was built by the kind of people that throw down lawn chairs and say ‘this is clearly a taken spot so don't even think about it.’ Is it right? Whose to judge. But is it you?
